During one of our trips to Ubud, our family had the chance to stay at Villa Melisa Ubud, and it turned out to be a truly special experience. If you are traveling with a larger family or a group of friends and looking for a private villa surrounded by nature, this place is definitely worth considering.
Spacious and Perfect for Groups
Villa Melisa is a large and beautifully designed villa with 6 bedrooms, which makes it ideal for families traveling together or groups of friends between 12 to 14 people. Each room offers plenty of space and privacy, while the shared living areas create a wonderful environment for spending time together.
The villa has a modern yet warm design, combining clean architecture with natural elements that fit perfectly with the lush surroundings of Ubud.
Private Wellness and Fitness Spaces
Another feature we really appreciated was the villa’s private wellness area. The property includes a small private gym, a massage room, and a yoga space, which makes it perfect for guests who want to maintain their fitness routine or simply relax during their stay.
Starting the day with a quiet yoga session or enjoying a massage while surrounded by nature adds another level of relaxation to the experience.

One of our favorite spots at the villa was the pool area overlooking the jungle. The view is peaceful and relaxing, especially in the mornings when the jungle feels alive with the sounds of nature.
It is the kind of place where you can start the day with coffee by the pool or enjoy a quiet sunset swim after a day of exploring Ubud.
Incredible Staff and Hospitality
What made our stay even more memorable was the kind and attentive staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, communicative, and always ready to help with anything we needed.
They also prepared traditional Indonesian delicious lunches and dinners for us, which made the experience feel even more special and relaxing. After a long day exploring Bali, coming back to a freshly prepared meal was something our whole family truly appreciated.
Great Central Location in Ubud
Another big advantage of Villa Melisa is its very central location. It’s easy to get around and reach many of Ubud’s restaurants, cafes, and attractions within a short drive.
Even though it is centrally located, the villa still feels private and peaceful, surrounded by greenery.
Clean, Modern, and Comfortable
The villa is very clean, modern, and well maintained. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared for guests, from the spacious rooms to the comfortable common areas.
It really gives the feeling of staying in a private luxury retreat, while still being close to the vibrant center of Ubud.

Villa Melisa is more on the expensive side, but when you divide the cost between multiple families or friends, it becomes much more reasonable.
For groups, the value is excellent because you get:
