Introduction – Why We Chose Alila Ubud

Another luxury hotels in Ubud that truly offer peace and quiet, Alila. We chose this hotel very intentionally because we wanted a calm place to rest for two days before heading home. We didn’t plan to go out and explore—this hotel is meant to stay in and enjoy the facilities.

Our Personal Experience – Slow Days, Jungle Views & Deep Relaxation

Alila Ubud is located high in the jungle, away from crowds and noise. The last part of the drive includes a few narrow turns, but once you arrive, the views make it completely worth it. From the first moment, everything feels slower and calmer.

The rooms have a rustic, old-school jungle feel rather than modern luxury amenities. Think natural wood, earthy tones, and a traditional Balinese atmosphere. This is not a sleek, modern hotel—and that’s exactly its charm.

The real asset of this hotel is the peaceful jungle view and the pool area. We spent most of our time between the pool, our room, and the restaurant, fully embracing the slow pace.

Daily Routine, Rooms, Pools & Staff

You can expect very simple and relaxing routine: morning coffee with jungle sounds, long breakfasts, pool time, afternoon rest, and early nights.

The pool area is stunning open, green, and incredibly peaceful. Our son loved the pool, and we enjoyed it just as much. The staff was warm, polite, and attentive without being intrusive.

Breakfast Experience – Quality Over Quantity

Breakfast was a solid 9 out of 10. There isn’t a huge variety of dishes, but the quality of the food is excellent. Everything felt fresh, well prepared, and calm.

Kids Facilities & Family-Friendly Feel

While Alila Ubud is very peaceful and quiet, it still works well for families. There are open green spaces and a calm pool area that kids can enjoy safely.
